Most of us would be fed up of eating the same old rotis and chapatis with sabji and dal day in and day out and crave for something a little different .Sometimes we do have leftover chapatis or roties and wonder if something interesting can be made out of it . This chapati noodles recipe would be a sure hit with your family especially kids .Necessity is the mother of invention and this recipe would make all leftover chapatis disappear in a jiffy and can be made with fresh ones too .It is an healthy alternative to your regular packaged noodles.So presenting healthy and tasty chapati noodles.

Serves :1

Ingredients:
Leftover or fresh chapatis or rotis - 2
Vegetables( Carrot/beans/capsicum/onions/cabbage) - julienne(chopped lengthwise) about a cup
Soya Sauce - 1/2 teaspoon
Tomato sauce - 1 teaspoon
Chilli sauce - 1 teaspoon
oil/butter - little for frying
Method:
1)Chop up your chapatis/rotis lengthwise as shown .It can be done with a sharp kitchen knife or even a pair of scissors.In a pan , add a teaspoon of oil and fry the chapati for 2 minutes till slightly browned and crisp.Keep aside.
2)Add oil to the pan and saute the vegetable on a high flame for a few minutes till they are semi cooked and crisp.Add the sauces at this point and add a pinch of salt if you desire.
3)Add the chapati bits and toss well and serve immediately with ketchup or plain.
Notes:
  • You can skip the step of frying the chapatis initially too but it will not be as tasty.
  • Serve hot else it tends to lose its taste.
  • Innovate with different vegetables and sauces of your choice.
