Medium-sized rotis - 2
Paneer - 10-12 small pieces
Onion - 1
Medium sized Tomato - 1
Coriander mint chutney- 2 teaspoon
Ketchup, 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala, 1 teaspoon
Juice of a lemon
Turmeric powder- 1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Method:- Grind to together a handful of mint leaves,2 handfuls of coriander,a small piece of ginger and garlic ,a green chilli and half a teaspoon of lime juice. If you need a creamy texture you could add two teaspoons of grated coconut. Keep aside.
- Add the oil to a pan .On heating add some onions ,tomatoes ,paneer and tumeric powder and a little salt.Saute for a minute.
- Keep the remaining onions soaked in lemon juice for about 10 minutes .
- Now take a roti,spread the green chutney ,add the paneer mixture,add ketchup,sprinkle chaat masala .
- Roll it up like a frankie and serve.
- This is a low fat meal and could be around 250-270 calories .It is filling, tasty and useful if you do not wish to eat fatty food. Especially for children who are overweight, parents find it difficult to restrict fatty and junk food intake .This tastes similar to a frankie and would be especially loved by them and parents would have the satisfaction of serving a fat free tasty meal .Paneer when taken in moderation is good and gives calcium intake necessary.Traditional Indian recipes for kids are highly nutritious and this is one among them.
