Simple Home Remedies for Headache

Some home remedies for Headache 

Headaches are a huge put off from regular life .They cab ne caused by a number of factors like stress,colds to more serious issues.If your headache is due to change of seasons or an infection here are some home remedies so that you can try and get relief and your headache doesnt affect your daily life.

Heat compress:
For a tension headache, place a hot compress on your forehead or the back on your neck.The heat will help relax knotted-up muscles in this area.

Lavender Oil:
Gently massage a bit of lavender oil onto your forehead and temples, then lie back and enjoy the relaxing scent.

Peppermint Oil:
In addition to lavender oil or instead of it use peppermint oil. The   menthol it contains can help dissolve away a headache. Its fragrance at first stimulates, then relaxes, the nerves that cause   headache pain.

Eucalyptus oil:

                                             

The leaves and oil of the eucalyptus tree are used for many medical purposes.Eucalyptus oil is said to help reduce swelling, clear nasal congestion, and relieve pain. Full-strength essential oil of eucalyptus should not be taken by mouth or rubbed on the skin.It should be diluted first.

Exercises:
At least three days a week, spend 30 minutes walking, cycling,  swimming, or doing some other form of aerobic exercise.These  exercises are great stress-relievers.

Yoga:

Pranayam ,breathing exercises in Yoga provide great relief  against headaches like migrane .Consult a yoga practitioner and  practise daily.

Ginger:
                       
 Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that can ease headache pain. It also helps relax the blood vessels in the head, reduces swelling in the brain and activates natural opiates in the brain that help lessen the pain.Simply drink ginger tea up to 3 times a day to reduce inflammation in the body and alleviate headache pain.


Cold Compress:
Cold compress too provides relief from headaches. Moisten a towel in cool water and add two drops of  peppermint oil to it.Massage in the painful area for 15 minutes.
